BSP Logo and Use - Policy Statement

The Officers and Trustees of The British Society of Periodontology are aware that many members have their own websites and wish to demonstrate their association with professional organisations.  We also receive requests from commercial companies to use our name and logo on promotional material.

Careful consideration has been given to the implications of using the Society’s name and logo. It has been agreed that in the best interests of the Society and in order NOT to be seen to be endorsing either a service or a product, ONLY the following wording and logo may be used.

Members

“……is a member of The British Society of Periodontology”

Commercial Organisations

The following wording may be used when (1) acting as one of our annual sponsors in which case the year in question should be mentioned, (2) having given the BSP support for a number of continuous years, or (3) supporting specific events only:

  1. “…is proud to support The British Society of Periodontology  during 201-/201- ”  
  2. “…is proud to have sponsored The British Society of Periodontology since
  3. “…is proud to support The British Society of Periodontology at the… (title of event)”

Logo - the following Logo is available on request  BSP logo 2011

Misuse

Misuse of the Society’s name and logo will result in the Member or Organisation being asked to remove the material immediately
