British Society of Periodontology

Reduced Postgraduate Subscriptions

A postgraduate student will normally be expected to be enrolled in a full-time programme of taught or research-based study at a UK university or higher education institution.

Members must provide the Administrative Manager with a letter from their Head of School or Department confirming their student status.

Applications will also be considered on an individual basis from postgraduate students on part-time programmes when there is evidence that a reduced subscription rate is justified. The decision of Council is final.

At the 49th Annual General Meeting of the British Society of Periodontology held on Friday, 18 September 1998 it was agreed that the reduced subscription rate would apply to an individual for a maximum of up to four years, so long as he/she remains a registered postgraduate student.

At the 60th Annual General Meeting of the British Society of Periodontology held on Friday 25th September 2009 it was agreed the annual subscription will be £70.00.  Postgraduates will have the right to access the online version of the Journal of Clinical Periodontology. If they wish to receive the printed Journal, the subscription will be £128.00.

Postgraduate Students will be encouraged to complete a Direct Debit Mandate for the collection of future subscriptions.  A £7.50 handling charge will be due if paying by cheque.

 SPECIALIST REGISTRARS IN RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY

Those completing a specialist registrar training programme in restorative dentistry, leading to the award of a CCT, are also able to apply for the reduced membership rate as above.
