Registering instructions will be sent out on Tuesday 2 June, as you need to register on the GoToWebinar site (a quick and simple process). After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar on the evening.
Only the first 500 participants to log in on the evening will be able to participate in the live event.
However, booked participants will be able to view the webinar after the event on the BSP website. You will be notified when the recorded presentation is available for viewing.
1.5 hours CPD is offered to all delegates who have booked and viewed the webinar. Bookings must have been made through the BSP website, non-members will need their booking reference number to obtain CPD. Evaluation form and CPD certificates will be available after the event on the website.

Dr Domniki Chatzopoulou is a Specialist Periodontist and Senior Clinical Lecturer in academia at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), Bart’s and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Domniki is engaged in the management of complex periodontal problems including surgical periodontal regeneration, mucogingival surgery and implant dentistry. She is the postgraduate director for specialty training in Periodontics along with 18 years of a mainly teaching focused academic career with multi- and cross- disciplinary teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. In her role as Postgraduate Course Director in Periodontology, she takes the lead in postgraduate teaching and training along with day-to-day management of the programme. She is the Training Programme Director for Periodontics on behalf of Health Education England and provides clinical leadership in the specialty of Periodontics at a local and national level. She also maintains an increasing international profile in collaboration with other universities, industry partners and consultancy having given national and international lectures and workshops in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, especially in Middle East and Europe.
She is involved in research as well as postgraduate and undergraduate education, lecturing and supervising clinicians dealing with periodontal problems and aesthetic dentistry. She is a Member of the Specialty (Periodontology) Training Committee and review panel for pan London specialists in training along with core group examiner for Overseas Registration Examination and the Licentiate in Dental Surgery (LDS), RCS Eng and MRD examiner for RCS Edin.
Domniki has many years of experience of working both at a hospital and private practice settings and works closely with many other specialists, helping to maintain a multidisciplinary approach to patients care. Along with her academic career and various national and international professional activities, her current clinical time is engaged solely in the management and treatment of simple and complex periodontal cases that are essential for high quality patient care.
Dr Nikos Mardas qualified in Dentistry from Athens University in 1992; He completed his 3-year training as a specialist and the MS degree in Periodontology in 1997 and his PhD degree in 2005 at the Royal Dental College, University of Aarhus, Denmark.
During the period 2005-2015 was a Senior Lecturer / Honorary Specialist and M. Clin. Dent program co-ordinator in Periodontology Unit, at UCL, Eastman Dental Institute. In July 2015, he was appointed Senior Clinical Lecturer & Consultant in the Centre for Adult Oral Health, Institute of Dentistry, within Barts & The London School of Medicine & Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. He is currently a Clinical Reader (Associate Professor) & Lead of Undergraduate Periodontology. At the same time, he is working as a Specialist Periodontist & Implant surgeon in 5 private practices.
Dr Mardas has published more than 60 papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals in the field of periodontal, bone regeneration and implant dentistry. He is editorial board member in Clinical Oral Implant Research and regular reviewer for all the leading journals in periodontology and implant dentistry. He has participated in consensus meetings of EAO, EFP, ITI and EADE. Dr Mardas has extensively lectured nationally and internationally and in 2011 was awarded the Basic Research Prize, of the European Association for Osseointegration. He was Education Delegate for the UK & Ireland ITI section (2015-1018) and is an active member of the Expert group for the Osteology Foundation.
