NICE Clinical Guideline Updates
It was extremely pleasing to see that NICE have opened consultations for periodontal treatment and management for patients with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.
As a Society, we shall engage with them and provide feedback on behalf of our members. However, we would encourage everyone to provide their own feedback to emphasise how important this is for so many people with oral and systemic health issues.
Please note that NICE are consulting separately on updates to their guidelines on Type 1 diabetes in adults, Type 2 diabetes in adults, and Diabetes (Type 1 & Type 2) in children and young people. There is a separate comment for each topic.
