“Frequently Asked Questions - Unpicking Periodontal Practice”
My Conference is titled “Frequently Asked Questions – Unpicking Periodontal Practice.” The title was intentionally broad, allowing me to draw on topics from across the full spectrum of periodontal and implant clinical practice.
I have aimed to identify key questions that arise in patient care — from the management of periodontitis and medical conditions affecting dentistry to surgical approaches and implantology — with the goal of creating a programme that appeals to the entire clinical team.
On Wednesday afternoon, following The Sir Wilfred Fish Research Prize presentations, we will host a dedicated session on Education in Periodontology, building on the outcomes of the recent European Consensus Workshop. This session will explore the current landscape in undergraduate education, specialist training and continuing professional development.
The main programme will begin with an ‘Any Questions’-style panel discussion, focusing on real-world clinical questions submitted by the audience. This will be followed by two days of clinically relevant lectures, covering a wide range of topics — and, of course, the Conference Dinner, which promises to be a highlight of the event.
