Membership of the BSP has a huge number of benefits and you have the choice of becoming a full or associate member. Honorary membership is limited and is only bestowed by Council agreement. Full members may vote and be unlimited in number
Full members will receive the Journal of Clinical Periodontology electronically and have the option to pay the publishers for a printed version of the journal
Members must be registered in the Medical or Dentists’ Register or hold such other qualification as Council may approve, or be Dental Hygienists/Dental Therapists (DH/DT) who are registered with the General Dental Council (GDC)

- Reduced subscriptions and registration fees for newly qualified dentists (first 2 years)

- Associate members of the Society are non-voting and unlimited in number
- You must be a member of another society affiliated to the European Federation of Periodontology who receives the Journal of Clinical Periodontology through that society OR
- A dental practitioner who has retired from clinical practice who does not wish to receive the Journal of Clinical Periodontology OR
- A registered dental undergraduate or student dental care professional (DCP) from the United Kingdom
- Dental care professionals other than DH/DTs who are registered with the General Dental Council

Honorary membership may be conferred upon any person, not necessarily from the United Kingdom, by nomination of Council and vote at the Annual General Meeting. An honorary member of the BSP will have all the privileges of the Society. Honorary Members will also receive the Journal of Clinical Periodontology electronically and, if they wish, will also receive a printed copy.
