York Conference: Six Weeks to Go

It is hard to believe that the BSP Conference in York is now less than six weeks away. I am delighted to hear from Paula and Jo that ticket sales continue to be strong, with only a limited number of places remaining. If you have not yet booked, please do not miss out: BSP Conference 2026.
The social programme is shaping up just as well. I understand that the ECG Social on Wednesday evening is almost full, and there is only a few dinner tickets still available for Thursday night. It promises to be a fantastic few days, both professionally and socially, and I look forward to seeing many of you there.
A particular highlight of the opening session will be our interactive “Any Questions?” panel discussion. Delegates are invited to submit questions in advance, which will be collated and put to the panel without the panellists seeing the topics beforehand. No question is too simple and no topic too complex. Please help us make this one of the most engaging and interactive sessions of the conference by sending your questions to admin@bsperio.org.uk.
Earlier this month, we also invited you to take 10 minutes to complete our membership survey. Thank you to everyone who has already taken the time to respond. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand what we are doing well, where we can improve, and, most importantly, what you want from the Society in the future.
Whether you have been a member for many years or have joined more recently, your perspective matters. The survey is your opportunity to tell us what you value about your membership, what you would like to see more of, and how we can ensure that your membership remains as useful and relevant as possible. If you have not yet completed it, I would strongly encourage you to take 10 minutes to do so: BSP SURVEY
Our next Council meeting will take place online in September, and it certainly looks like we have a busy few weeks ahead. There is plenty happening across the Society, and I am grateful to everyone who continues to contribute their time, ideas and enthusiasm.
In the meantime, I hope you all have a great month, and I look forward to seeing many of you in York.
Best wishes
Dr Paul Baker
