A Change to the Administrative Manager

ANNOUNCEMENT

NEW ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER

The President and Honorary Secretary have pleasure in announcing that Helen Clough has been appointed as the Society's new administrative manager with immediate effect.

Helen has an illustrious and varied background which ensures she will be perfectly suited for her new position with the Society.  She has over 30 years' experience of health care in both the NHS and the private sector, as well as the business sector.  Within the NHS, she has worked at a senior level both in nursing and general management, and in a voluntary capacity she has worked as a magistrate over the last 10 years.  While working for Bradford Hospitals NHS Trust, she worked variously as a Systems Accountant, a Business Development Manager, and the Complaints Manager for the Trust.  She has also worked as the Legal Practice Manager for a firm of solicitors in West Yorkshire.

We are sure that BSP members will therefore recognise the vast, varied, and highly relevant expertise that Helen brings to her new position, and we feel that the Society is incredibly fortunate to have secured her services.  You will have the opportunity to welcome Helen to the Society in person at the Spring Meeting in Sheffield (13-14 March).  We encourage all members to attend this conference, for which you can still register at the standard rates via the BSP website http://www.bsperio.org.uk/

Helen's contact details are as follows, and she is now the contact person to deal with any and all administrative issues or queries that you may have.

At the same time that we welcome Helen, we must also sadly say goodbye to Anne.

Anne Hallowes has served the Society for 20 years and will be greatly missed.  A presentation from the Society will be made to Anne at the Spring Conference Dinner  in Sheffield.  The Sheffield meeting is therefore an opportunity to say goodbye to Anne while at the same time welcoming Helen.  Anne will also be attending the EuroPerio meeting in Stockholm, giving overseas members the opportunity to say farewell.  On behalf of the Society, we wish Anne a long, healthy and happy retirement.
